Interfaith Housing Services, a faith-based organization not affiliated with any religion, is a coming together of all denominations, civic organizations, social groups, businesses, and individuals who help meet the needs of our community. IHS envisions communities where equal opportunities for safe, affordable, accessible and quality housing services are available to everyone. To that end we work diligently to fulfill


The IHS Mission:

Interfaith Housing Services shall develop, promote, and implement programs which assist persons
of low to moderate incomes
to meet their housing needs.
 



IHS has an excellent reputation for helping people in the community with housing needs. Over the last 16 years we have:

bulletassisted over 500 homeowners in Reno County, whose income was less than $8,000 per year, to keep their homes livable
bulletprovided 54 safe, and affordable rental units housing 56 people with disabilities and 9 single parents along with their 25 children
bullethelped 34 first time home buyers acquire a home

     First Time Home Ownership

New programs at IHS include:
     Expansion of our services into Harper County

     Individual Development Accounts

In 2008 IHS becomes for the first time a United Way Partner Agency!
