DONATING TO IHS

Interfaith Housing relies heavily on donations from corporations, businesses and individuals in the community. Every item donated is one less that must be purchased, thereby cutting costs and keeping housing affordable for the clients we serve.

Donating Goods

We accept building materials, working appliances, and other remodeling materials.  Unfortunately, for storage reasons we cannot accept furniture with cloth or cushions. 

Donated items can be delivered to our offices at 1326 East Avenue A in Hutchinson weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. We recommend that you call before bringing a delivery. If you unable to deliver an item, IHS will pick it up, but because of current workloads expect a short delay of a few days before someone is available to pick up your item.

Donating Services

IHS thrives on volunteers.  Sometimes work needing done requires a licensed contractor, plumber or electrician. We have several businesses that volunteer their labor to help keep project costs down but there is always a need for more.
