Helping Your Community!

There are many ways you can directly help your community. Kansas Tax Credits

Donating to the IDA program is a great way to help families learn how to help themselves and become financially stable. Donations to this program could affect a household in your community as Interfaith Housing Services is in the process of expanding this program across Kansas.

Plus by donating to the IDA program you can keep your tax dollars that would spent elsewhere right in your county and possibly double the amount money coming into your local economy.

The IDA program motivates and teaches low to moderate income households how to pay their existing bills and save money for a future asset.

Program graduates become self reliant and financially stable, no longer dependent on other social services in the community. Our clients establish roots in their community either through the purchase of a home, becoming high educated wage earners, or starting a small business!
An example of a $1,000 donation if donor is in a 25% tax bracket...

Your $1,000 = $450 CREDIT + $250 federal deduction = your cost about $300!

By making $250 tax credit donation or more to the IDA program you will receive 45% back when you file your Kansas income taxes. Either subtracted from your state tax obligation or added to your refund.

Drastically reducing the cost to you and maximizing the benefit to your community.
