You can give Gifts of Cash

• If you itemize your deductions on your yearly income tax return, you can lower your federal  taxes by simply writing a check to Interfaith Housing Services no later than December 31.  Gifts of cash given to the Endowment Fund help secure the future of IHS and the communities they serve. The Endowment Fund is set up through the Hutchinson Community Foundation.

You can give Gifts of Stock

• Stockowners can be tax-wise and contribute stock.  Use this charitable donation for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the donation. By donating stocks you avoid paying capital gains taxes on the increase of the value of the stock!

You can give Gifts of Real Estate

• You receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property!

• It is convenient and easy to give smaller amount on a regular basis. You can sign up for a certain amount to be drawn out of your bank account each pay period, month or quarter just like a regular bill. Your donations will go directly toward helping provide stabilizing solutions for your community! Call 1-877-447-5927 or email emilyh@ihs-housing.org.

• It pays to plan in advance with your tax advisors or your attorney.  Remember, federal income tax can still take up to 50% of your estate at the time of death.  Plan ahead for wiser use of your total estate funds!
