FIRST TIME HOME
OWNERSHIP PROGRAM
The
Interfaith Housing First Time Homeownership Program is an excellent
way for individuals and families with low to moderate incomes to purchase
a first home.
IHS acquires and rehabilitates, or builds new, single
family homes for sale to qualifying first-time homebuyers. Since
1995, IHS built or acquired and rehabilitated 34 single-family homes.
Our goal is to sell six homes per year to qualified
buyers.
Many people have a steady income
but are not able to save enough money for the down payment on a home.
Through this program, the small payment of 2% down makes homeownership
possible.
If you fall within the income guidelines, have good credit, are willing to
help with simple construction or rehabbing projects in the home, and
want to purchase in Reno or Harper Counties, you could own your own
home.

There is a waiting list for available homes and it could be up to a
year or more before one becomes available, but if you can be
patient and wait, you will have a quality home at an affordable price.
