Interfaith Housing Services currently has 54
Special Needs Rental Units in Reno County (Hutchinson, Arlington and
Nickerson) and construction is set to begin soon on
Sunrise Ridge, twelve
units in Harper County. These units are available to those needing
special housing assistance with priority given to the elderly,
households with disabilities and low-income families.
Our apartments/houses range in rent from
around:
$295 for a
1-bedroom
$317 to $395 for a 2-bedroom
$400 to $495 for a 3-bedroom
Our rents are an established amount below fair market value but not
based on a individual's income.
In most cases, clients pay all utilities. All
rental units meet or exceed the qualifications for Section 8 usage.
To qualify for assistance you must meet the
following income guidelines:

IHS does not allow pets without a
signed statement from a physician verifying that the pet is necessary
for medical reasons.
Due to the limited number of properties
available, it is often necessary to place persons requesting rental
property on a waiting list. Updated applications are required every
six months to remain active.
Rental assistance may be
available through the Hutchinson Housing Authorities.
