VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROUPS

Volunteers are the heart of Interfaith Housing Services. Without volunteers the number of people we help would diminish greatly, however with volunteers  we average forty-five projects a year. Volunteers work on rehabbing houses, new construction projects, fundraising events and even some office tasks, all of which helps us help others.

There are many local groups, youth and adults, who volunteer. We also have groups from out-of-town, out-of-state and even one from out of the country. All help is appreciated which is why we do all we can to make your volunteer experience a rewarding one.

If you group is interested in planning a mission trip to IHS to help with our housing projects, more information is available on the Mission Trip page in this website.

For groups coming from out of the area and staying overnight or for a few days we can help with finding sleeping accommodations and providing meals. We also help with scheduling interesting and enjoyable leisure time activities so your trip consists of more than just working.

If your church, business, civic organization, neighborhood, or friends are interested in volunteering for a day or several days, please contact us. We promise you will leave physically tired but spiritually energized by the experience of giving to others.
